The French loved our Bill of Rights so much that they personally enlisted Thomas Jefferson to write them one. This became the Declaration of The Rights Man which was a very ambitious declaration of rights. The Declaration did not last long as it was soon gutted by Napoleon. Napoleon had declared himself Emperor of France and even King of Italy.
Spain loved our constitution so much, that they made theirs just like ours in 1812. It included three branches of government (Legislative, Executive, Judicial) and protections of individual rights including against abuse of police power. It only lasted two years before being abolished by King Ferdinand IV.
Mexico loved our constitution so much, that they modeled their 1824 Constitution upon it (free press, property rights, separation of powers). It was later torn apart by their own President Santa Anna (of Alamo battle fame) who turned the Presidency into a dictator.
This reflects a fascinating example of history where nation’s created constitutions similar to the United States, but could not make it work. Simply having a great constitution is not enough to make it last. A nation needs leaders who show restraint and great virtue. America has also been blessed with people who helped protect our liberties along the way.
